long wheelies

what's considered a long wheelie these days? I found a new trail a few days ago around 125-150yds-can wheelie the entire length pretty easy. I'm pretty sure there's guys on here who can go miles. Post up!

Re: long wheelies

that is pretty cool. my buddy craig has a yfz, and in my opinion, those are one of the better quads for long distance wheelies. the property we ride on is 700 yards and he cleared the whole thing! he could have easilly kept going, but he would've went right into the road! yeah Tiller on the JT TEASER video, you guys are pulling some long *** wheelies!

Re: long wheelies

Fell short of 3miles by 2/10ths, had flat tires to track straight and had to turn carb up bout 30 deg to keep her running. The camera battery died about 3/4 of the way thru and if that wasn't enough to **** me off the quad seized up which is why I stoped(no oil)

ouch... was it a sudden stop, cuz that would suck...
I was doing "reverse" wheelies (i dunno, i was doing a wheelie, turned my lower body around, kinda looking back, but with my hand still on the throttle) and the damn power to the coil was loose (hehe...ooops!) and the thing "dropped like it was hot"... me too...lol...
10mph on the dirt, and i fell like a biotch...lol
cant imagine 40 on the road and doing that...

O, ansd Catman... good lookin out... always someone who has to come along and ruin it for us tho...
just kidding, but yea, long wheelie= never ending (pretty much)
it's one of those things that if you are doing them well, and you have the room, you should be able to do them as long as you have openness in front of you....

unless the come around... then you drop it down, and boot till you see the next trail....
Sorry to anyone here who rides safe n all, but if I am in the middle of a wheelie going down the road, and I see the popo, Im pretty sure he doesn't want me to tell him how I do that, so I'm gone!

Re: long wheelies

Can you guys ride on the road over there? **** I wouldn't even worry about wether or not I was in a wheelie. See a here= loose your Quad and drivers license probally.

Funny story. Saw what i thought was a kid driving a suburban down a road and decided to pass him doing a wheelie, this was all at night, i looked over and saw a badges and a sherrifs patch on the guys arm. You better believe that quad was pushed to the max as I drove away with the lights of. Then about 30 min later I saw him driving around real slow like he was still looking.

Stupid FU(KIN cops

Re: long wheelies

if you are riding right on the road i think a cop would definitely give you a ticket or somethin. i have been stopped by cops when i was riding NEAR a road, and they got ally uppidy and asked for my registration and proof of insurance.

15 miles???

Not hatin, I'm sure it can be done. Especially on a quad. Holy arm pump batman. 5th gear on a 400EX.... 15 miles.... roughly 50 miles an hour (very rough figures) that would be like 20 minutes.

pretty much the norm around here too-cops will do everything they can to git ya if have a quad or dirt bike on the road. You'll for sure get a ticket and have to fish your machine out of impound.
