Best transplant motor?

I'm thinking about doing something stupid. I wanna try and fit a different engine in the warrior. You ask, why do that instead of buying a diff quad. Well I have the war already, so it's practically free and I can probably buy a used engine for say $500 and I can make it work. So my question is what engine would be the best to transplant? I can't afford a new 400 engine, so I was thinkin a 250 dirtbike, 500 dirtbike (both 2 strokes), 650 4 stroke, or a crotch rocket engine? I was thinking the 250 or 500 would be the best because they're probably the most reliable in this application. And should have gobs of power. I'll probably be trail riding, maybe mx and maybe some dunes. Might try to still learn how to stunt as well. Thanks for any input.

Jay

Re: Best transplant motor?

I wouldnt go with a cr500 engine mainly because iv heard that they rattle and vibrate like crazy, I think your best bet would be a 650 engine. It would be the easiest and I think the most rideable compared to a street bike engine. Good Luck with it.

I've seen a few rocket motors dropped into zilla frames, but not even sure if they would fit in the warrior frame. A custom cr250r job would be interesting IMO
