I know quads have been skipped before because I've seen pics on Dirt Wheels. No vids though. I wouldn't wanna do it on anything over maybe a foot just in case. But my guess is you'd probably have to be going at least 40 or so w/ paddles and smoothies up front to have the best chance. I'd hate for the front to sink at 50 or so in a foot of water. That's a stoppie you wouldn't wanna do.

it's called hydroplaning.... it's in huevos 3 or 4 and in huevos 7 ( i beleive) i use t ohave video of some guy on a raptor doing it ..

hehe.. my buddy did that on his quadracer 250...lol... funniest thing i have ever seen done on a quad... i was tellin him "get goin third wide open, and lean back on it right before you hit the water..."
he let out at the last second cuz he had a change of heart... end for end, quad landed upside down in the water (2ft deep) and he landed 20 feet away from it...
funny stuff... just make sure you tape it if you try it...lol

ive done it on accident when i was little ridin wit my dad on an old honda 200 sx 4 wheeler i hit this lake and instead of skimming the side like my dad, i went straight towards the middle the bike actually floated for awhile. glad my dad was a good diver

Ive seen guys with banshees do um 6th gear wide open, you have to be all in or not in at all.
