Street tires

I need some street tires for a nine inch rear atv rim, I dont want to pay over 100 so does anyone know of some trailer tires or something I could throw on there?

Get some nice street tires... not trailer tires.. cuz then you'll have to buy special rism for your bolt pattern... buy like Hoosiers

Well I'm tight on money and the only rims I have are my stock 9 inch, so I need something that will fit the nine inch rim...It doesnt even have to be an on-road tire but something with non-agressive tread.

Re: Street tires

Hoosiers are really expensive and not worth it for stunting. To get the infamous street tires you need to buy new rear rims,10 inch. Or you could just wear down your stock ones since you just put some nice new knobbies on.

Re: Street tires

whoops, heres the rest ..even found some that fit my buddies z400, just take a tape measure and check the bolt pattern, i found for my sportsman they were the same as my old saturn, and i think the z400 had a 4" we found some old car tires on rims in his barn and used those, kinda fun, grips the pavement great, just makes the machine real tipsy. ill see if i can find the pics and ill post.

Re: Street tires

What I did was just wear down my stock knobbies. Its the cheap way to go and it works pretty good.

Re: Street tires

LOL I cant afford either guys, I'm on a tight budget I just need some cheap tires for cruising around the streets with. I've decided to plug my stockers and run them. What do you guys think about a 3 inch lowering kit? would I still be able to jump? I'm talking about the kind that bolt to the lower shock mounts, They dont make em for my bike but I'm sure I can get some to fit, I saw one on a z400 and it looked awesome.

Re: Street tires

Ususally those front lowering kits are kinda weak for jumping, like you could do small stuff but i wouldnt go out an hit a double. They do look pretty sweet though.
