Need help with a carb problem

Arrite, I'll be straight up.

I know **** about quads. My car i can take apart and put back together, But i'm clueless when it comes to quads.

I can get on it and ride it like a muthafkkr, But i dunno about the carbs and ****.

anyway,, WHen i set the warrior, on the 12 bar, it POURS gas outta the hoses that come outta the top of the carb, where the intake tube comes in. and if not there, It'll pour outta teh one that comes outta the bottom.

Now how do i keep it from doin this. Cuz that makes it impossible to do any 12 tricks cuz it just pours gas out.

If i jack the idle all up i can get it to stay runnin, But gas still comes out.

Also when i'm doin super slow wheelies it dies out alot, so i have to constantly be fukin with the clutch to keep it up.

any ideas, I think the carb is phuch'd, But like i said, I ride, I ain't no kinda mechanic.

So please gimme some advice to steer me in the right direction.

I am plannin on gettin a new quad VERY soon, But i still wanna keep the warrior for learnin new **** so i don't destroy the new one. SO i gotta get this worked out

Re: Need help with a carb problem

I cut my idle spring down a little so it can adjust better, and took off the top of my air box to get more air. but you will allways have gas comming out of the overflow tube as far as I know. I ride mine with the idle jacked up all the time so it wont cut out doing slow ****, its hard to do it if the idle is low.

Re: Need help with a carb problem

The float height may be off a little, that will cause the die'n out. As for the gas pouring out, its supposed to do that. The quad wasnt designed with "stunting" in mind so at odd angles the carb will leak fuel through those lines so it doesnt flood the motor. I would try pluggin up the lines with a bolt that fits snug and try riding like you normally do and see if it still runs right.

Re: Need help with a carb problem

The float is literally a thing that floats in the bottom of the carb. It floats on top of the fuel and turns off the valve that lets fuel flow into the carb from the tank. There should be some type of screw. If not, then you'll have to take the carb apart and adjust it the old fashioned way--with pliers.
