Hypothetical question?

Re: Hypothetical question?
Obviously, it influenced Shuggz decision. Me not so much because I really don't ride that much anymore for reasons that we all are aware of. My outlook on it is this:
Do we enjoy riding so much because we CAN'T do it all year long? Is it the anticipation we all go through all winter long that makes it so cool?
I personally think that if I could ride all year long it would lose some of it's luster ...but that's just me.
I think we all need winter to take a break from each other!

Re: Hypothetical question?
Im used to riding by myself, I did/ do it alot. I would go out and find cool roads to ride and then when I was riding with peeps take them out there. I also find it easier to "practice" alone. I dont have to worry about droppin into a corner and clippin the tire of another. Its a hypothetical question anyway. I was just wondering what others opinions would be.

Re: Hypothetical question?
The family thing is a factor that would keep me here. At the moment the job factor doesnt apply. I guess it boils down to, you have to do what is right for you.

Re: Hypothetical question?
My friends/family have kept me in the area. The winter sucks big time, but like Shaggy says, I think it's what makes the summer so great. I've had several job offers in TX, GA, and FL lately... I've turned all but one of them down so far. My folks are getting ready to move back west....so I've been faced with this question a lot lately....
I'm ready to ride!! Jeff and I are going after the twisties a lot this year, I'll be on the street a lot more......got the new 954!!

yeah...sure!!!! we will see!!!! hahahaah j/k
you, jeff, and I can be the 3 amigos.... :YEAH :YEAH be sure to hit me up!
As for Jeff. haha.. I see your thinking, and you look like you need a hug!
Tough decision though. gotta way your options for one. which is better for yourself. Family will always be there no matter what(just a phone call away), and although I like the friends I have made here. There are always more to be made around the nation, and I have several around that are always bugging me to move. As far as riding all year being an issue. You know how much I love to ride, and I would have to agree with a couple peeps. I do think that having some down time over the winter makes summer that much more fun. Plus, with out winter, what would I have to bitch to all you guys about. Other then standing in one spot all night!!!
One thing to remember, although change is hard. Sometimes it is good!
oh, and one other, wise man say "man who goes to bed with itchy butt. Wakes up with smelly fingers" I HAVE SPOKEN!!!

Re: Hypothetical question?
I'm moving to Cali next January, though the riding is just a perk of the move. I gotta say that riding with new people is always cool. Almost as nice as riding with friends. Knowing how people ride makes things a lot smoother too.. not always looking over your shoulder wondering if the guy behind you gonna pin it all of a sudden or something.
I am looking forward to meeting a new group to ride with in LA though, and I don't think I could ever get sick of riding all year.

I rode by myself almost every time I went out. I'd always get bored faster and wouldnt really have a chance to learn much of ****... But either way, this season Im still going to practice harder. Not trying to be some stunt champion or anything. But just enjoy riding.
