Re: Semi work safe
SKS are garbage. Here is my logic. You have a good handgun, get the 590 for deer hunting and home defense. Just swap on a full stock in the fall, pistol grip the rest of the year. After that buy a nice assault rife in a common caliber, 7.62x39, or .308 are the best in my book. (Mini 30, AK, M1 etc.) .223 is a joke. The SKS with it's fixed magazine blows.

Re: Semi work safe
I like your logic ... but I would rather go with a rifle I think over the mossberg for deer ... I don't want to pick buckshot out of my meat - and I am not the best shot yet ... but those 590's all set up tactical are sick ... .308 might be a good possibility ... I want a smaller handgun for carry ... the 40 is nice but I wish I would have gotten subcompact for carry
Keltec P3AT (I think they get a bad rap)
Mossberg590
and the ultra $$ Springfield Socom II It's around $2K, but you it is a super accurate semi auto sniper rife in the widely available .308. If **** goes down, this is gun you will want to have, not AR with less knockdown power or an AK that is inaccurate.

Re: Semi work safe
Got my electronics order and modded one of my guitar distortion pedals. This thing rips now.
In case anyone cares, this is the mod I did.

Re: Semi work safe
I just lifted the *** end with my rear stand and placed cinderblocks and wood unter the engine, then let the rear stand down. Worked pretty good.
