Re: Semi work safe

The 954 is tore down to the point that I either need to build an engine cradle out of 2x4's or I need a helper to make sure the engine doesn't fall off a couple of stacked cinder blocks.

650SX is tore down to the point where I need to start buying parts to proceed. (other than cleaning off the oily residue in the engine area.) The exterior is power washed, the very front needs a little fiberglass love.

Re: Semi work safe

You're going to want handlebars for the 650. The stock ones are a weird angle and way too close together. 0 degree are really nice but $50. I went with 7-4 degree bars for $20. Also get a finger throttle. It makes it a lot easier to hang on than with the thumb throttle. Look up John Zigler on the X. That's where I got mine. He doesn't take paypal though. A lot of the jet ski guys don't. I don't get it.

I found a hell of a deal I am going to pick up tomorrow. Race bars, quick turn plate, and finger throttle for $60 shipped.
If this bitch has an engine that isn't fucked, it's going home with me.

Just 2. The ski is an easy one, just need to wait for a good deal on an engine to come along and drop it in. The 954 is going to take a while.

PS, the Indians suck.

Nice. If you ever end up driving to New England, I'll buy that X2 hull off you. I wish I could find a deal like that up here. There's a ski like that for sale on craigslist here for $700.

I figure if I can get the trailer and engine for $300 I still got a deal if I end up throwing out the x2 hull.
I have fallen in love with the wave blasters, but they are way too spendy for me. Cheapest are like $1300
