Re: Semi work safe
if he were to walk ridiculously fast, say 186,000 mi/sec (everybodys favorite maximum speed) then he would get 1200 cubic feet of rain on his front. no more, no less.
at the other end of the spectrum, if he were to walk infinitely slow, he would get however much rain lands on his 2 square foot 'roof' in an infinite time period.. which is obviously a lot more than 1200 cubic feet
.

Re: Semi work safe
I think walking would be better if it's raining straight down and not really heavy. What did they come up with?

Lets say a 6' high, 2' wide, and 1' deep block represents a person, who has 100 feet to walk through the rain.
if he were to walk ridiculously fast, say 186,000 mi/sec (everybodys favorite maximum speed) then he would get 1200 cubic feet of rain on his front. no more, no less.
at the other end of the spectrum, if he were to walk infinitely slow, he would get however much rain lands on his 2 square foot 'roof' in an infinite time period.. which is obviously a lot more than 1200 cubic feet

thats where im at for now. i'll finish this one next time i get bored enough.
Im theorizing that there is an optimum walking speed which is dependant on the speed of the rain. And bigger rain drops fall faster so i dont know what im gonna do for that data.
