Question Where are you Staying for Bike Week?

Well I live down here, but have no clue on where to stay. I don't fell like paying $200+ per night for a room. Is there any hotels/motels right outside of Daytona that is offering cheaper rates. I will be there from March 6th-10th.

Post up the Hotel/Motel Name, Location, and number if possible. We can then start a poll once we get a list of places to stay.

hotels

I'd offer you all my house, but I live with 10 dogs, so I'm a bit crowded at the moment ! And forget about the furred bike thing, everything that comes in my house, leaves with dog fur on it!

Maybe this will help.

Let's see: There's Suburban Lodge in Daytona (that might not be booked 'cause it's not beachside or on US1, their # is (386) 274-4200. In New Smyrna (about 15 mins away) there's Sea Vista (386) 428-2195, Nocturne Motel (386) 482-6404, All Suite Motel (386) 427-0400, Aloha Motel (386) 428-3386, Blue Heron (386)428-4491, Holley's Court (386)427-8884, Lapponia Motel (386) 423-3812, Ocean Air Motel (386) 428-5748, Poole's Motel (386) 428-9819, Shangri-La Motel (386) 428-8361.
In Deland there's: Best Inn University Motel (386) 734-5711, Boulevard Motel (386) 734-0716, Chimney Corner Motel (386) 734-3146, Comfort Inn (386) 736-3100, Holiday Inn(386) 738-5200.

I think most of them may be Mom & Pop type motels, so they may not be really nice, (could be skanky) and almost all of them are not on the beach (in New Smyrna), but I was thinking of price being a factor.

Hope this helps!

See Ya Soon!

orlando is alot farther than 25 minutes!!!!!! Its more like 45 without traffic, we stayed there one year for bike week and it was the biggest mistake ever. The traffic just gettng into daytona takes 20minutes of stop and go, but the rooms are real cheap, try Deland, thats only 25 minutes (half way between Daytona and Orlando) and there are rooms for lower prices

Here is where we decided to stay...

It may be a 20 minute drive, but it is in our budget and won't have to sleep with the roaches .

Jimmy, You're litteraly right next door to my house. James900RR and a few other fools from Barney's are crashing at my place next weekend. So if you want, give us a call and we can all ride out together. It's about 25-30min ride up I-4 to get to Daytona from here, depending on traffic. It's not too bad though. I've done it the past couple years. The worst part is the ride home at night .

For anyone still reading this is as of 3/3/03.

The Lake mary hilton is full. And fyi, I checked mapquest. According to mapquest, the lake mary hilton is 20 miles north of orlando, 45 miles from daytona beach. (AAA told me the same thing that it is 20 mins from daytona..... (I think they are confusing orlando for daytona )

Most of them were booked, I found a few that weren't: Lapponia
motel is $120.00 per night, but you have to book it the 3/6-3/9. In Deland
the Best Inn University is $175.95 per night plus tax, the Boulevard Motel
is $125.00 per night, and the Chimney Corner Motel is $145.00 per night plus
tax.

I am staying at the mainstay inn in lake mary. It is like 87 bucks a night.

Steven
