Re: Bike Registration for Motorcycle Rally @ Edinburg, TX
So far we have Yamaha, Red Bull, Channel 4, Two main RGV radio stations: KGBT 98.5 and KBTQ 96.1 "The Beat", and Harley Davidson as our sponsors.
We will be advertising all over the Rio Grande Valley through Channer 4 and the radio stations. Also, Yamaha will be helping us to spread the word by handing out flyers in Ausin, Kingsville, Corpus Christi and all their dealers throughout South Texas.
I am not sure, and still am surprised by the numbers but acording to the people from Channer 4 we can expect to have about 8 to 10 thousand people.
We will not only have the bike shows, and bike stunts, there will also be a lot of food, live music, and carnival games. I know it will be awesome! and I really hope that all you guys come down with ya'lls friends and family, not only to come and see Todd but to have lots of fun with all the entertainment.
If you want to participate in the bike shows or the contests please go to the Valley Scholars' Webpage and register ASAP.
DEADLINE is March 1st, 2004. (first come first serve) Register!

Hey there will be a lot of guys from there the valley, the RGV's X Team will sure be there and you and everyone can hang out with everyone else.
About the drinks.... No, there will not be beer or any of the sort. Since it is a college activity we can not serve anything but softdrinks. I do not know if Red Bull will be giving out drinks to the riders, I will ask and let you know.

Re: Bike Registration for Motorcycle Rally @ Edinburg, TX
well this is what she posted on our forum...
We are still not sure what the prizes will be because we still have to go and sell ads. It will at least be trophies, 1st 2nd and 3rd places. We are hoping to get some tires or something from Yamaha or Suzuki. If we do really well with the ads we might give cash. Since this is our first event, and hopefully not the last, we do not know what to expect.
The same applies to the contests, we do not know how long the contests will take and so we do not know how long we will have the track open for free style, it will be about 1 hour each time, hopefully 3 times in the whole event. Bikes will line up and take a run down the track and do what you must. After your run you will come back trough another lane and line up again if you want to have another run. So on and so forth.
Regarding the contests, as you can see the application describes what the contests will be about. There will be two track contests:
Endo Contests: There won't be any categories here. Everyone against everyone. You will take your run and do the endo, the longest one wins followed by the second and third longest.
Wheelie Showdown: Now this is the fun one. This contest will be in tournament style. Two bikes will run against each other and do a wheelie (in any way) and try to out perform the other. The one that wins (according to either the crowd or judges) will go on to the second round, so on and so forth, until the last two riders compete. So for this contest there will be two prizes, 1st of course and 2nd, maybe a third, don't know.
The Show contest is as you may know by the title, just for show.
See the application or webpage for more info.

Re: Bike Registration for Motorcycle Rally @ Edinburg, TX
If you guys really really REALLY want to participate in the contests or show your bike for prizes make sure that you REGISTER ASAP, especially for the track because we will only allow about 50 bikes to use the track that way they can have more time to stunt. For more information about the events, contests, and registration call me at 956-648-3323 any time, if I don't answer leave a message and I will get in contact with you as soon as possible.
