ok "sand bagging" is when a pro rider competes on an amateur level. he is competing below his skill level. "stacking" a team is not "sand bagging." Team events should be just that, TEAM events. it should show interaction between the other riders and synchronization between the riders. if i just grab 4 guys who i just met in the parking lot then it should be at our disadvantage because we have never ridden together before. just because someone doesn't ride under the same team name doesn't mean that they don't ride together. for example, we ride w/ SOI and Defiance on a regular basis, atleast weekly. the guys stay over my place and drink my beer all the time. so if our whole teams couldn't make it why should we be at a disadvantage? should we all cash in our names and become a new team? the only reason we haven't done so is loyalty to our roots. we ride together just as much as anyother team out there but we can't compete as a team cause we don't have matching shirts?? i think that the judging should just be heavily weighted on the fact that the guys rode well together and the performance they put on.

Scott You know your my boy but I say if your team cant make it or is not good enough to compete as a team then maybe they should start practicing that way...........I think everyone is missing the point of a team comp.......... I think I am gonna bribe Gorka to ride under my name in long endo thats fair right its my name so I will win........ JMO.....I am not saying you or your team just a example.........well maybe you

After competing in TX @ LSBB I think there are enough people to have an amateur & pro class. I mean I can name 5 people off the top of my head that are going to take places in longest endo(all pros), so essentially there is no room for any amateurs to win that event. I am not whining or complaining I am just pointing out that there are enough amatuers to have their own class. What do you think?

anything you want should be considered a team, anyone can ride with whoever! If your team practices as a team and we don't, then you will beat us, if we beat you, well then we just showed you the meaning of the word "TEAM". That is as long as the jugdes score accordingly, weighing heavily on HOW THE RIDERS WORK AS A TEAM!!! I mean, if its matching shirts that make you a team, then team NORTH with its matching whatever color shirts will be there to compete, not sure of who is on the team yet, but we'll let you know...

Basically the point im trying to illustrate is the same one that scott is, it's not a name or matching shirts that makes you a team, it TEAMWORK that makes you a team no matter who you "ride for" cause last time i checked i didn't get paid by my team and i have no contract with my team, so fo the 15 min that we (anybody that we want) compete together on the track, we are a TEAM.

oh and gregg V, having someone else ride for you is completely different. If Gorka wants to do longest endo and give you the money, hey good for him and you i guess (sound like a good idea to you matt??? can you go win another class and give me some $$$??? LOL) It's not like we're are trying to USE another teams talents and say it's just LegionST, we'll use a totally different name if need be, or say this is TEAM LST/DEFIANCE/SOI. Everyone will get there own credit.

Not even saying that that is going to happen, cause for all i know defiance and SOI might want to compete just themselve, just useing that as an example.

ANYWAY, you should welcome this, then you can say, IF you win, that you took on all that we could throw at you and you are simply the best TEAM!!!

ok

ok longest coaster has to be limited approach and motor must be turned off. all these people turning idle up isnt going to cut it. competition is all about skill and who is better. 300 foot approach 600 it dont matter us if your going to bitch about it dont show up. or better yet go out and practice whatever you do todd it sounds good to me. you know i will be there and i always come to win

I know what your getting at .........I also still remember what a team is........ I ride with a lot of people I consider them friends or aquintences not team members.......I do know what team I am on and I know what team I will be on and ride with tomorrow....

all timed and measured events? how boring for the fans! no sickest trick. no freestyle. and i was kinda pissed in TX because i thought there was gonna be no stacking of teams. geared up shoulda won because they rode as a team. my 2 cents.

Just so that we are prepared for this year's events........ is there also a gate fee for Saturday Practice too?

Just thought it would be nice to know ahead of time!

You know my thoughts as far as Freestyle. I think that it is a fan friendly event. That's why Steve and I compete in that category. But if you're worried you couldn't find judges that could be fair in their scoring than I guess you're right.......there shouldn't be any event held that strays from measuring / timing.

But IMO that's a shame. Just my.02

TEAM is the judged freestyle event!

I don't think there should be sickest trick cause it's the same boring **** EVERY time!!! We see all the tricks that we see all day, that are all going to be done in team events and practice. Maybe it should be a side-show, between events for the crowd, WINNER TAKE ALL, but only people that truely have a NEW/SICK trick to do should enter, not every tom/dick/and harry that wants to show everyone their slow wheelie.

The idea that we need to get across and start doing at our events is FAST PACED EXCITING DANGEROUS EVENTS!!! I know it sounds stupid, but that is what the fans want. The possibility of a crash (falling over on a slow roll or no hander is NOT a crash!!!) and high speeds!!! Why do you think stoppie is soooooo popular??? Besides, judged events always leave people feeling ripped off. HArd number events have clearly defined places, and create competion RIVALS!!! SOMETHING ELSE THAT WE DESPIRATELY NEED!!!

DEFINATELY A MUST TODD!!! Every motocross race or practice and FMX event has them, WE DO TO!!!

john, i thought sickest trick was supposed to be something new, not something everyone has seen before. i agree you have to keep it fast paced for the fans. it gets boring way too easy!!

EXACTLY steve! but how many guys have something NEW??? My bet is aaron and maybe one or two other guys. Then we have to watch a bunch of old ****. That is why i think it should be a quick, 15 MIN side show where winner takes all!!! Only someone with something NEW can enter! (By new i mean hasn't been done in comps, or at least something we ALL haven't seen already)
