Sclevela and i were just discussing the "stacking teams"issue and have come up with this. First of all a lot of members of teams ALL can't make it down, so that eliminates a lot of the good talent from competeing, also, many riders today are indipendant, which also eliminates them. So we figured it would be much better for the show if anybody could ride with whoever and call it a team for that day, it'll give EVERYONE a chance to get in on that part of the comp.

HERE'S the catch, 50% of the scoring for the team event (maybe MORE) should be HOW WELL THE RIDERS RODE TOGETHER, AS A TEAM!!! Cause that truly shows how good a team is TOGETHER. Four guys can go out there and EACH rock runs that would be top five in individual, but if they did NOTHING as a team, then they SHOULD NOT WIN!!! If Geared Up (geee, why would i ever use them as a team exapmle, BECUASE THEY RIDE SO GOOD AS A TEAM!!!) went out and did a few less technical things, but rode very smoothly together, working together, then they deserve to win!

Basically, I think a regular team that ALWAYS rides together liked Geared Up has the ADVANTAGE if the scoring is that way. If by chance a "thrown together" team of a few indiviual riders goes out and works beautifully together, then they should win, because they had the best COOPERATIVE TEAM run of the day.

Sorry for the long windedness. Thoughts on this everybody?

Then why don't you log yourself in you lazy glamma poster...

Oh and i think the NSRA format with a 300 foot run and a 600 foot run, combine your two longest from each starting point for a total was pimp. What's everyone else think?

Only caters to the high tail and slow style (like Rick PBR, Joe Brown, Patrick)

Unlimited (600 ft i consider almost unlimited) caters to the highspeed lower style (like Ryan, Thew, Todd)

*Anyone used in any example, please do not get offended, just trying to demonstrate a point, any style used, you all kick my ****

The combination of the two runs (one from 300, one from 600) takes away any advantage one has over the other.

If you are only going to go with one run though, make it 600 cause that produces the biggest numbers, numbers=cheerin fans!!!

Side Note: Although it may be more technical to roll 300 feet from a 300 foor approach, it is WAY more exciting to watch a 700 footer that carried a lot more speed, think AUDIENCE!!!

Definitely should be judged on coordinating and working as a team... I have seen many times where a team will go out there and do all individual runs and win. Team event needs to be judged on how u ride as a TEAM.

just needed to reiterate that point

We have agreed on holding the stoppie comp,
up by the stands wich is good flat for about 300,350

As we get near Feb.8th I am sure we will find the best distance

Who ever wins, most likely wont be over 400

what ever the outcome is we need 2 hold it by the stands

Sounds like, The boyz up north need 2 practice short take off,
down here we got that on lock

We are still deciding on the longest Coaster event and as far as the team event NO Stacking with the teams that would be called "Sand Bagging" the teams have to consist of 3 or more riders working together.
