Thoughts on format?
$25,000 in TOTAL PURSE at the 2010 AKUMA Street Freestyle Competition.

On Friday Night we will have 1st Qualifying Round and a Tandem Competition, Saturday its 2nd Qualifying Round, Semi Finals and Finals and Sunday it's the Trickiest Trix Shoot-Out between the 2nd place through 8th place from pervious day and a long format performance by Sat. and Friday [Tandem] winners.

What do you think?

frayz....you'll never know how appealing that sounds to a promoter after 3 days of whining from petty vendors, it's always the small, ones too - I'll says it's designed to build booth traffic, bonus points for setting the r. wheel down on their table.

on a half serious note.. I need to add a SUNDAY BURN OUT CONTEST to close the show, the HD guys love that

Frankly you can put me down as the one who pitched Brandy to the media as "Latina" to get her and the event spanish language coverage. Brandy and I discussed this before hand. But here is South Texas it's the name that counts.
Had she gotten in early I had a spanish-language TV crew here to interview Brandy too and they would have positioned the same way.

Whatever I can do to get mainstream media attention here in Texas or anywhere else is a positive for Competitive Stunting. A move toward legitimacy and bigger sponsors means better payouts and bigger audiences. I may not be able to sustain a wheelie as far as some, but in the world of public & press relations, I'm the equivalent to a Bill D.

Thanks for that interview it was awesome. I had a lot of trouble with my bike and all of the guys pitched in to help on friday. I wish I could have gotten there earlier. Next year will be fun. This event was suprisingly organized and I know next year will be even better.

Re: $10,000 Purse at TEXAS Stunt Competition

I'm Glad it went well, San Antonio is a great Venue! It's great to see a florida rider rounding out the top 5!

On a side note... I like the different competition events idea... I don't think there is any reason you can't keep it incorporated in and still have a stunt wars or xdl style judging for the freestyle event. But the basic skills comp and fan friendly comps like last man standing, technical wheelies and burnouts are loads of fun also!

I'll try to make it next year!
