Ok, no love around here!

whats gay about it? Its kinda like a foam pit for FMX guys, you can try out tricks and get the feel for it before actually taking it to the street.
I respect your opinion but thats your opinion.
ever tried one before? not as easy as it is on the street

you can not compare a bike that is tied down solid so it can not move side to side. so no you cant get the feel of doing a trick on there compered to the real deal ****.

waste of money. if you wanna get the feel for a trick grow some ***** and hit up a lot with your helmet and wheelie away.

let me know this.

can you clutch it up on the wheelie machine from a dead stop? does it give the same feeling from clutching it up from a dead stop as you would in a lot?

i dont see that happening.

Re: Wheelie Machine Debut!

you guys need to not talk ****. Riding a wheelie machine is wayyy harder than on the street. You have no idea how hard it is to hold a wheelie on a perfectly smooth barrel and a rope on your front wheel and a solid axle preventing side to side motion.. until you do shut it!

Ive tried it before. For more than a couple mins. Heres my HONEST opinion on it.

This is what it will teach the "new" guy trying to learn to stunt.

1. Teachs you how high balance point is.
2. What it feels like if you go back too far.
3. The concept of how to clutch a wheelie up.
4. Proper form.
5. Throttle control.

Overall you will learn the basics and technique of how to wheelie.

The down falls are.

1. No side to side movement.
2. No wind variation.
3. Really easy to slow the wheelie down WITHOUT using the brake.
4. Not everyone is going to have the same bike you have on your machine.

So to some it all up, with the RIGHT person teaching a NEW rider on the machine, YES they can learn a lot. But you have to stress to them the difference on riding a wheelie on the machine and on the street. The CONCEPT is the same but its not 100% realistic.

Re: Wheelie Machine Debut!

Yes I agree with SIC. I never said it was a realistic way to learn new **** but you can learn the basic maneuver like how your leg has to get around the clip-ons or maybe there is an unforseen problem that you realize on the machine that you wouldn't have on the street until its too late.

I realize that this is not for everyone, maybe not for anyone on this forum but hey I was just giving it a shot. If anyone on here lives near by and comes out to Prosource on the 24th and tells me they are from this board we'll talk and maybe I'll let you try it and you might see things differently.

I also understand and have waivers for participants to sign saying this in no way shape or form can be done the same way on the street and if so serious injury or death can happen.(sumarizing)

Just to pull the wheelie up on this machine is rediculous, the only thing that this replicates is the balance point and throttle control.

thanks for the input though

Re: Wheelie Machine Debut!

I'm with Josh on the sharkfin or something to keep someone from losing a foot!

I also agree with Sic because I have ridden one and its not the same at all. Its a pain in the *** to get up because dude wouldn't let us clutch and the engine brake was way diff. It was not what I was used to to be honest. Its kinda like a 4 wheeler....for guys who can rock the good **** its boring, but to newbs they were happy as **** and takin pics!
