i don't know about that, not to be a smart *** or anything but my abilities are the same. if u notice our videos have no special editing envoled, just raw footage. many riders are sick riders weather camera is rollin or not. my riding is the same when camera is down or up. you don't need editing to show a riders skills keep watching the videos. videos tell alot as coltin said.:YEAH

What we are getting at is for the ones who have take 50 tries in front of a camera to get a highchair circle, and it's honestly the only one they have ever accomplished, but they edit out all 49 wipe outs before the final product. And it just so happens that they are garbage at stioppies but caught one that they nearly looped on film and added it into the clip as well.... Now if someone like that jumped into the ring at XDL and spent 3 minutes trying to prove that he could do a HC circle, it would be a waste of everyone's PROFESSIONAL efforts..... catch what we're throwin?

Lin! You don't need editing to make you look good, we can all agree on that. We seen you in person, remember? haha

never new you were that involved in the xdl series. and the whole time i thought it was Thomas's gig. How many people on this board can say that they have never got lucky pulling off a trick or somehow saving what could have been a really bad crash...............um no one. i pulled off the standstill christ to sitdown clutch up the first time but then never again after that. luck or faith

Re: Stuntwars june 13-15th 2008 first points round
I've been drinking and you're the winner.
Should anyone be able to compete at a professional level comp? Hell no. Have you been to an XDL or seen the finals at Stuntwars in person? Do you only have stuntlife or facts to base your opinion that its the lamest sport to watch? And on that note, have you seen curling, that Olympic sport?
What this sport needs above all is to build the current talent pool into people worth rooting for. The best thing we could have is a fan coming to an event saying I can't wait to see Lin ride, he's my man! You need to have personalities to make this sport work. Just like any traditional sport. Baseball works because people have home teams. Not because someone played it when they were a kid and follow the sport into adulthood. Not saying there is not tons of room for new street freestyle athletes, because there is. But if you think some woodwork local hero can come and play, there is a good chance you're wrong. Unless an unknowns level of talent is ridiculous (able to make the finals) it's not worth wasting the spectators time. What we need is more qualified riders murdering 3 minuets. Not a lot more lack luster boring runs by ams with no chance. US contests are difficult to make it to the finals as it is. If Supercross had an open field would it make it more interesting? If X-games was full of nobody participants wasting time would more people watch?
I hate to say it, and I never thought I would. But you would be surprised how good you need to be to really compete these days. If you think some kid who wants his 3 minuets of open qualifiers fame deserves it, he did, but that time has past. Thomas and XDL will never close a door, any rider that has/can prove himself worthy can have their chance. But that person better be on ****** point.
On a side note, I love the underdog, and I'm a lot of unknown/known riders biggest fans. And I would make it to ANY local stunt contest even if I'm not a participant.
Crash, hit the nail on the head with the nascar comment and everything else he put was spot on too.
hahahah I just noticed it was you, ******. I thought it was dirty, hahaha. Damn you for your **** avatarness. I don't drink and bitch at people I know!

No not anyone should be allowed to compete. If we're to act like a legit sport we're gonna have to run like a legit sport. Your gonna have to earn your chance to compete. At least thats the way I look at it. I lost count of how many comps Ive been in where I almost got taken out by someone who in know way was supposed to be there competing. That aint cool. And if you think just anyone can come and bang with the big boys your wrong. The level has really jumped a lot in the last year. The ones that are there deserve it. I hear so many people bitching about certain riders get this treatment and certain riders get that treatment. Well you know what? Those riders earned that respect. Those riders have put it in the time and hard work year after year to finally get that treatment. So quit crying go ride and earn your respect!
And to the sob story of this rider deserves better but cant afford to do it cause they cant buy cameras or get to comps. Cry me a ******* river! I was that guy years ago and if you really want it youll make it happen. If theres a will theres a way. Ive sacrificed so much its ridiculous to get where I am today and Im pretty sure 99% of all the other "pros" out there have done the same.

Where is the petition to sign for a new Starboyz date? I know XDL is locked into the HIN schedule. Any info if SB is locked into that specific date other than "because" at this point?
Not taking away from SB at all, I'm definitely not saying they should work around XDL. I just want to attend both!

the overall points i doubt will have anything to do with anyone entering lakeland in january...of course you wont be in the running for the points, but every comp is a comp.
and nick, i'm pretty sure scott and kevin did try to change the date, but i guess they were locked into that weekend as well.
hopefully we can have little to no overlap in the future bc i know there are a gaggle of us that want to go to all the comps...missing SB is the biggest disapointment of the year so far for me...i love them homos and their event!
