Re: European Champs 2007 !! Allready two americans coming over :YEAH

I had a great time at the European championship !
Nice meeting old and new friends !
And Glinglo it really wasn't your day that's for sure.
Better luck next time !
And for answering Teach: for what i have seen now of the EC , if i was American i would be happy that i didn't came this time. For me it looked more like a small lokal competition than a European championship and paying a lot of money to come is a little stupid then, unless you have enough !

And about the other euro competitions : I was in Hungary and in Switserland.
In Hungary almost all the high places went to Hungarian riders, so it were not only the Americans who got fucked ! A few very good stunters in Hungary though, but not to fill almost all high places.
Switserland i must say was very good organised, only one bad crucial thing : half of the judges saw the first stunt show of their life i think. But the organisation said they were going to fix it next year. So let's hope!
If i was American and wanted to come to Europe i'd put my money on Switserland. They really work professionally !

Re: European Champs 2007 !! Allready two americans coming over :YEAH

I just want to add that there are some things to separe :

- Exhibitions and show were the US riders are paid to come
- Euro championship and main events.

For the first one, the bikes are usually lended by french riders, and most of them only have one, work hard to pay it, to have parts to repare.
it's the bike they ride allweek end !
I just want to say that the bikes are sometimes craps, but it's not a choice, it's the only way to have one.
The dealers don't play the game on this point, for sure, and the event promoters just ask the riders.
But I agree that if the promoter tells the man who lends his bike that everything broken will be paid, it could be more easier to find a bike.
And this way is not the way it is for the moment !

Fir the euro "championship", it's different, normally you don't go there for being "treated" but to compete and reach a title.

pfeiffer do not go there for having good time, he goes there to be able to write "european stuntriding champion 2007".

He's supposed not to be paid to come...

hey man,i understand...especially with the loaner bikes and the show vs contest.

i just recall all the events that americans have attended over the years, and it all seems BS...from Tony D losing points for not wearing a jacket, to the swiss C'ship this year where CP was a virtual lock from the beginning and some US riders got hosed.

it's all good...i plan on being over there on my BMW's and hopefully there wont be much left to the imaginations of the judges, just plain old bike murdering!!! haha

can't wait to get over and do some riding/competing with the worlds best!!! look for me in 2008!

ps. does anyone have the links to register for these events...especially the swiss indoor c'ship...thanks in advance

Re: European Champs 2007 !! Allready two americans coming over :YEAH

The swiss comp is the comp to attend.

This year is the year to go!

Prob's at the last one

Practice wasnt practice it was 2 riders at the same time doing shows for the public. 10 min's 3 times a day
I think it was Jonny Do had prob's with his bike and everyone agreed to let them ride to figure it out but they said no cause it gave them more riding time than others and they said that was unfair even tho we wanted to help him get it fixed wich ment he had to ride it.

The judges 2 were stunters, cool guys that new there ****
The other 3 had never ridin a bike nore seen stunting be4

I recived - points for rev limiter coasters and - points for 508 drages
They said rev coasters were wheelies gone bad
And 508 drags were too because my foot touched the ground.

But they did say they were going to change it this year last year was there first time and had to iron out the bugs but one thing i can say is the swiss don't hold anything back! They do everything right and as close to perfect as they can . Absolutely put %200 into there events
