Fact of the matter is, the crowds appreciate tandem far more than a coaster distance contest, and the crowd is what makes the comps possible. Deal wit it. Don't hate on what you don't have any part of, You wanna coaster comp? Fine! Do it. But don't even suggest eliminating a whole category of stunting for the sake of a much smaller sub-category from the chapter breakdown of the Indi book of tricks. That's silly.
Add all the little crowd-lulling but self-glorifying subcategory-specific contests you want when it's your own comp your holding. I'm honestly all for it! Just not at the expense of an established, traditional, & growing category because you personally don't care for it. Get over yourselves.

If tandem truly sucked so much and was so gay, it would have been dropped off the comp roster long ago by the powers that are wise & determining of these matters. The same goes for the 4 wheeler comp. I know the general feeling on this but, here in Upstate NY 4 wheelers are very popular. Last year we got a lot of feed back locally because we didn't offer the comp so this year we will.
It all comes down to somethings work better in other areas of the country than others and it's not easy to please everyone. Overall I think everyone will be pleased with this years event.
