Sick pic though :YEAH

How does your tire grip the wet pavement?? Do you clutch from a slower speed? I've clutched from 10mph on sligthly wet pavement and almost lost it from my tire slipping!!

Re: Some rain practice...

what up dave ???

sick pic.

so how much further u got this year ???

i havent got to practice as much as i wanted but i got way better than i did at the begining of the year.

i got some slow **** down no prob.
parking no prob.
long scrpaes
freeway scrapes ! 80 mph !
some decent coasters.
and i traded my gsxr 1000 for a nice and smoother 900 rr !
since then i feel way more confident
and have way more controll.

ive been doing and working on perfecting 1 handers and no handers
sitdowns on all of em..

so what else have ya learned ?

Re: Some rain practice...

Well all of the clutch ups were from almost dead stop.. I think it helps that i have probably clutched up my bike 10 million times this year...The trick in the weight pavement is weight transfer and a little less aggressive on the clutch. We went out in the rain for half the day today..it was great..Got some sick footage for our upcoming DVD...
Like anything else in this stunt game its all about the practice...

Cheers

Re: Some rain practice...

Whats up Jay ? Good to hear from ya man..So you got rid of the gixxer for a 9hundo ?? Sounds like you really like the new ride...I dont have any plans to get rid of mine yet as it has served me well...

As far as the progress meter, man its amazing how far some of us have come this year...I remember when I would just hope to hear that bar scrape back in April....lol...
Lets see got all the one hander **** down...Its funny but NTH's were easier than the clutch side for me...Havent practiced the no handers to much but have managed to get em off a few times...
Pretty much done with all the scraping shiat..except a few times here and there to keep the rust off. Parkin was on lockdown about july timeframe..
A few of us have been going for the wide circles the last 3 weeks. Have been hitting them hard...Still pulling them in tighter and tighter..So far so good..
Pretty much keep my foot in the subframe these days...Much more comfortable on the hands and you are much higher up on the bike..
We are looking into studded tires for some snow stunting this week...That would be fun..
Season coming to an end here...Maybe we got about 2-3 weeks max....

Hope all is well on your side..

Later

Dave

Re: Some rain practice...

yeah a few of us been at em for about 3 weeks now....
So far we got em nice and wide...but getting tighter each session...
Practicing in the rain was more fun than I thought it would be...
Def teaches you clutch control...

Re: Some rain practice...

Hoping to have the DVD done by xmas...Just going thru all of the tapes from this year...Got like 30 minidv tapes to wade thru and rip to pc...

We pretty much gave up on the street riding and said we are gonna practice in a few nice spots we got here..To be honest cant even remember the last street ride we did...Just cant practice and learn the things you want to learn when you worry about all the bs on the streets
Dont worry man when the DVD is done your copy will be on its way..
Cheers
