my 05 636 project from the ground up!!

i broke my motor mount on my frame and motor so i decided while it was down to start redoing everything..this is what it used to look like

now the only real problem im running into is the belly pan wont line up with my upper...at all its off so bad and im kind of stuck..anyone ever deal with race fairings?? ill post more up when its painted for sure!! im going with victory red for the fairings

My friend just got race fairings for his f4i and they didnt really fit that well . We ended up zip tieing the fairings on because the holes did line up. Just make sure you get them to fit before you paint it. PM Guru he has race fairings on his 636.

i rode with guru a few months back and he had a streetfighter with no race fairings..

get a dremel rotary tool and make it fit....i had to modify mines when i got ti from cheetah racing

i got the same plastic, **** dont line up for nothing, i just put it together the best i could and drilled new holes where i needed to and then put bolts in there!! looks good though what you got done cant wait to see what it looks like when those fairings are painted

hmm ya i did. whats the story about your frame? how did you break it and where? was the motor mount bolt in your cage loose? Is that an SI cage?

i broke a motor mount on an 03 and it was near the upper/inside part of the mount where it meets the main frame spar but im pretty sure my cage was loose and thats why it happened. i tighten my motor mount bolts after every session now.

its a sick innovations cage and it broke right at the bottom of the mount...because its so thin that it is very weak...

dude i did the same thing to my 04 636. i had to beef up the frame too. motor mount went into the motor so i dont want that to happen again!!!
