factory wheels are powder coated and they are usually baked at like 350 400 degrees so i doubt that had any thing to do with it...

just about a month or two ago a friend of mine had this happen to his stock gsxr 1000 front wheel but he was stunting it with no air in the front tire and slamming it down on purpose...lol
