Nah man, Nolan is probably one of the most knowledgeable powder coaters you'll find out there. He does **** that most power coating companys wont even attempt, or know they could even do with powder.
My boy just likes to work smart not hard. He just pluggs the threads and just buzzes the matting surfface with a little sander when they're done. If you think about it; its alot less time consuming than taping them, and carefully edging with a razor. Thats what he did with mine.

at least the inside bearing surfaces arent coated.. b/c ive seen that! more than ****** once. (worked @ dealerships for over 5 years) seen some ****** retarded ****.

Here is some other work he has done and when was the last time you saw chrome rims with taped off rotor mounts? As long as it's all the same thickness and there is no powder in the threads, then no problem and any good powder coater should be able to get it the same thickness!
