he does do some nasty work kelm...and sorry va, my bike will be on the way to daytona and my back up bike doesn't have a sprocket right now, i loaned it out.

Dan, its cool man, don't worry about it. But I ended up putting my wheels on tonight and didn't end up having a problem with getting the rotors on at all, He said he put tape inside of the holes, so i guess he did it good enough there wasn't a problem, but i was shocked, i expected a super long job that only turned into about 45 minutes putting both wheels, internals, and changing the front tire off my old rim and onto my new rim. Too dark for pictures but i'll try to post some up tomorrow

i think they mean the powdercoat will make it an uneven mounting surface.

Look good tho. Just have to sand or grind it down for the rotors.

Im going to do my spare set of chrome rims like T's but the spokes will be done in translucent candy apple red. and the lips will stay chrome.

Re: new turtle wheels...

I wouldn't be too worried about powdercoating the flanges where the rotors bolt to. The calipers are free-floating and will make up for the minimal distance that is added. I see your point and I would tape them off too if I were powdercoating them, but wouldn't be scared if my rims came back like this.

Its not the end of the world and it can be fixed or even left alone, but its a real pain in the *** to scrape off the powder from the mating surface. And its not about adding thickness, its about mounting a solid and flat part (rotor carrier) to anther solid and flat part (rotor mating surfaces on wheel)... Youd be surprized at how much vibration having powder coat between the 2 can cause....

And above all to me I just like doing things right, so if it wasnt painted before I strip the part and powder coat it....Then there shouldnt be any powder there after when Im done, therefore I take alot of time to tape and plug my **** to OEM specs...Takes about 20 extra minutes to do it the way I like it...

Heres a wheel I did the other day
