How the hell do you not see an 18-wheeler in the middle of a freeway? 120 mph or not, those things have enough lights on the back of them that you should be able to see them.

dam thats nuts...i dont understand how that happened...u got to be very careful out there..my friend just passed last wed..r.i.p. joey..he was splitting lanes and suffered crazy brain damage from the impact

But you also have a large number of people saying, "If I wasen't wearing a leatte, I would have been able to tuck and roll and not broke my back"
They probably do help in some cases, but I bet in a lot of wrecks stunters get into, they probably hurt..
They turn your body into a dart.. Your head can't bend at all.. So when you go flying to the ground, there is no tuck and roll, its like being thrown at a dart board, straight as an arrow stiff as a board...

I've read it takes the average person over a second to respond, and another second to act during an emergency..
at 150mph, your traveling at 220 feet per second.. A city block is about 260 foot long..
So your traveling a city block every SECOND..
If a tractor trailer pulls off an onramp, or switches lane, 2 blocks ahead of you, you will be impacting it, right as you go to hit your brakes..
If the tractor trailer was 4 blocks away, that leaves about 2 seconds of actuall braking time, probably the time it takes to slow from 140/150 to 120ish..
At that speed you have NO time to react. Its all over before it even starts.

that trailer came into my work....my family own a truck turminal and my uncle has a shop that has yellows work and that trailer came in with the whole in the back and ****....the driver said it was fucked up....he told me all about it and what happend....

If he HIT at 120, he was probably doing 150+ when he saw the truck..

actualy believe you travel 220ft a second at 120 so just think about 150+
the dude never had a chance..... why the hell do people do high speed runs on highways???

because in Tulsa, most of the riders are all about highway runs, at night they would leave the gas station where they would hang out and do their own little race at like 2:00am they would see who comes back first as they run from the cops. which is gay

sucks that it happend but that would of never happend in a lot or on a track.. be more mature about **** or dont get a bike.. going out splitting lanes at 150 is not and never will be safe no matter how good of a squid you think you are.. i thank god everyday that i made it through those days of immaturity and stupidity on the interstates trying to rat race around without ever getting seriously injured.. i dont even ride streets anymore unless its with a huge group of people and its under 65 mph..
