I did it for my friend, so it was done to his liking...His last one wasnt as deep at the back and he wanted deeper for this one...

And no there is no bondo, its powder coated not painted. So it cant have any kind of filler, it has to be 100% metal...

I just take my time and start with a larger dead blow, then move onto a smaller hard plastic mallet. And then finish up with a regular carpenters hammer, to even out any wrinkles as smooth as possible... Once I add the spray on truck bed liner on the inside of the dent, thats when you get the "how did you do that, it looks like it came like that" comments from the squids..They never seem to believe that you just beat it in with hammers/mallets...

creases are bad news.... use a pall peen or other small metal hammer to carefully take creases out.

But for the most part, once you have a crease it's pretty much a done deal.

I've gone threw quite a few gsxr tanks in my day. It is fun to practice different denting and bondos.

Re: **Post pictures of tank dents here**

the vortex cap is just sitting on the tank for the pics, still waiting for the paint to cure before screwing down the bolts.
Thanks

Re: **Post pictures of tank dents here**

that's great. obviously you don't HAVE to use bondo, the guy asked how to make it look clean. and bondo will smooth all those bumps and ripples to make it look as clean as possible.
