Re: painting process
yup....tired of rattle canned paint jobs and ****.
Its actually a tangerine kandy over a cinder red basecoat...in the shade its almost a blood red kandy, then with medium light its a medium blood red, the with strong light it becomes a red-orange color. All more red than orange.
I'm gonna do somin for graphics, but not sure yet...whatever I do will be with vinyl graphics over the clearcoat so if I decide to change it up later I dont have to repaint it and everything. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna make the entire tank dent black, then a lil on the tail and front fender to break it up....I dont think the Kandy by itself will look that good.

Re: painting process
thats pretty damn impressive for a rattle canned job bro!!!!
I like how it looks....buddy of mine was gonna do camo like that, but instead of doing that he ended up using the same colors and made an urban camo out of naked trucker lady outlines. turned out pimp. I'll try to get a pic of it sometime!

Re: painting process
+1 for using rattlecans. I have a spraygun and half decent equipment, but for a stuntbike it's not worth the time and effort cuz you're just gonna trash it anyways. I'll be fixing & repainting my tail tomorrow and it'll be done in less than 30 min with good ol house-of-krylon!

Re: painting process
gotta love the house of krylon! LoL
I'm just doin the tank, tail, and front fender......and my cage is superb and I dont think my tank, tail, or fender have touched anything since I put that cage on!

Re: painting process
that garage is full of **** like that.....compressor is run in a small "second floor" above the working area with lines piped all over along the walls so nowhere ur at, you have a coupling for air.
The guy even has a vehicle lift, so when he put his 6" lift on his chevy he just raised his truck up and did everything at eye level! I'm wanting to do a 6" lift on my superduty and gonna see if my buddy Ryan can get me hooked up to use that lift and knock the lift out!

Re: painting process
OK here's a before and after with my tank dent re-do....kinda hard to tell the actual diff. from the pics....
I knocked a crack in this one during my second go around, so my denting on it is done for now.... If this dish isn't good enough with the surfing deck pads that we ordered to hold my skinny *** on the sucker, I'll just have to gain some weight or something... LOL
I remember when I posted the pics of it up whenever I did it the first time, and after I just bought the bike, and ya'll warned me about the lip being weak....

I'll put a finished one up later depicting the fine use of rattle can paint..
