Here is my 07 gsxr,, i just ordered a powers sub cage cuz my pass pegs are weak *** and i feel them flex like mad. Already been through two subframes. My Fi cage is holdin up like a champion but i don't recklessly toss my bike aside.

The powers cage LOVE to flip my bike onto the clipons and tank EVERY time, even spining out a drift the bitch wanted to roll. It is definately STOUT but heavy as **** and made my gsxr barrel roll like no tomorrow. a couple times I was impressed to see how much abuse my powers cage took but most the time I was pissed off about the bent clipons, broken master cylinders, snapped levers, bent stunt stay, shattered windscreen, scratched and dented tank, not to mention watching my powers cage tweek farther and farther to one side and grinding that bottem plate along my nice new f150 tail gate. I'd rather tighten some slider bolts and replace pucks then all the garbage powers put me through. Oh wait, how about waiting TWO ******* months for the cage? then how about my lovely beefy powers subframe cage BENDING and TWEEKING my SCRAPEWORKS SUBFRAME!!!! (yeah tubular steel subframe got BENT from the solid peg design.) I'm not saying powers isn't burly as hell, I'm just saying in my opinion they are almost TOO strong. I would wrather replace a cage here and there then replace subframes and frames I may sound bitter, but that is just my experiences. to each their own.

I think your best setup is going to be:
Sick innovations cage
OMR subcage with folding pegs
sick innovations round bar

FI design is not a good cage for the new gen gixers.
the end.

How do I know?? 3 crashes from idle and my frame is cracked. Yes I did exactly what you are supposed to do as far as maint. is concerned tightening, ect.

impaketech that **** or else you'll most likely be buying a cage AND a frame.

I been through two subframes, got a Si roundbar hit it once or twice and it exploded that silver rear subframe part. I think new gen gsxrs are weak *** and no matter what part you put on it the **** will always break at the weakest point which is the GSXR.

Re: **Post pictures of GSXR's here**

yo sixxer fuddy...here you go...pic of Impaktech cage NO fairings...and pic of SI cage FFthe Impaktech design is the only way to go for the k6 gix...its flat plate and dual slider and bigger tube mounting surface disperses the impact WAY better than any cage out there in my opinionthe SI is clean and compact, but for all out frame protection on the weak framed gix,in all respects, its design is inferior(sorry SI)

SCOTT...if you braced/reinforced your rear sub box/frame with diamond plate or flat aluminum plate and rocked the Impaktech reinforced roundbar in combination with the "nate plate" as to preserve your tailsection and weak subframe,I think you would be alot happier with the new gix I have clacked out doing rev limit stall attempts and no breakage to the rear part or lower section yet....really that and the idle issues people have seem like minor things and its a good bike once thet have been adressed
