so this is the bolt you have to locktite and torque?

anyone have a 636 service manual for torque specs? i need a manual in general

that bolt does nothing but keeps the damper rod bottom attached to the fork leg. the first pic shows that the bottom fork leg gets broken. it's just too weak.

In england all the 954rr's where recalled and they changed bottom of the fork legs for similar problem, problem there was that because they use road salt and drive on salty roads the crome part gets corrosion at the point it attaches to the cast part of the fork leg. This corrosion broke the cast part.

but the cast part and crome part are joined in the factory, there is no way to tighten them.

i noticed at stuntwars that AC was running forks that werent the stock 05-06 636 forks. is he just that far ahead of the game??

No, it is on the side of the cast part. It is not shown in that drawing.

Wrong, at least on the 636's you can.

Quick Question.

You take your boy's 636 for a quick "down and back" rip up a stoppie and the forks rip apart, and you "ballup" your boy's bike.

Are you responsible for damage done to he's bike????
