To date I have always gotten mine from Vortex, I think rears are about $40, and it will usually last a year, sometimes a little less. Never had one break, but they wear out so keep your chain adjusted properly to get the longest life out of them. Shipping is always fast too, 2-3 days it's at my door.

Aluminum will last a few season's, and you can get one for around $60. Thats what I would run. However i don't think the weight will matter???
