dude is learning, i remember pulling my first wheelie. i was all over the place chopping the throttle. Try to keep your body upright and put your left leg on rear peg. You could also try rear pegs to keep the weight back so you can keep your body upright but i dont know if it would be a good idea since your just learning. Good luck

Oh don't get me wrong...I think it would be easier to start on a 600 or so...that's what I am on...I think most of the new 1000s will come up too quick for a newbie. But then again, if he can learn throttle and brake control, then it shouldn't be any different than a smaller bike.

Man, u dunno how bad i want a different bike, a 600 honda, but im stuck with this bike, i like this bike though, like the dude said, im gonna learn on this bike, and anytime i want ill jump on another bike...as far as the gear goes, i jus need to save money, ill prolly put some pics up today of me scraping the tail..i do always put my foot on the rear peg, that pic jus sucked

Actually, i read in a mag that he started on a ducati 748s, then he moved onto a R weeezy. And his ducati motor went into his shift cart.

My R1 is my first sports bike.. i learned rear brake controll and everything i know on it..wish i had a 600 the 1000 can be little touchy at slow speeds.. i weigh 140lbsi thnk i owulda been better to start on a 600.. but jsut takes practice.. stick with it man lookin good.

So If someone wants too learn rear brake control on a 97 f3 ,should he I mean they get sprockets or stay stock!!!! I wish it were spring and not winter , I would be practicing rightnow!!!!! peace
