Hey ya'll.

Hey guys. I'm new to the board. Been riding for about 3 yrs now. Strictly cruisers up untill August this year, when I bought an '05 gixxer 600. Ended up wrecking the bike 2 mths into owning it on some corners. All damage to the bike was cosmetic. I was fine. That happened 1 month ago. Before I wrecked the bike I wasn't in to stunting, in fact, I thought it was retarded. Till a friend showed me a vid, and I got hooked. So, here I am now, learning to stunt with a $10k motorcycle that looks like a $2k stunt bike. Oh well, things happen for a reason. ANYWAY... now that the story of my life is out the way... here's what I've been doing lately. I'm sure you've seen 02938092830498349 pictures of this stuff... But tell me what you think anyway. I'm a noob at this. CRITIQUE ME! Be easy on me I'm only one month into this ****.

I'm HOOKED! :YEAH

Re: Hey ya'll.

Get a cage, its a 200 dollar insurance policy on your 10k/2k bike. Other than that You are looking great for doing this for a short time. Enjoy it-

Oh, if you havent already get in a new oil pickup too. Its a 45 minute job to install.

Re: Hey ya'll.

Yeah a cage is the plan. I just started doing this stuff so quickly I haven't gotten around to getting one yet which is a retarded excuse for not having one. But a cage and also another guy I spoke to who stunts, was telling me I should put j bars on first, instead of a 12 bar because if I don't land the 12bar straight on the ground it will corkscrew? Am I right on this? What about the exhaust? I believe I read somewhere about having to shorten up mufflers. Will that be the case for this bike?

Re: Hey ya'll.

I ride an 05 too and I shortened my exhaust about 6 inches so it doesnt hit the ground. It is easy to do, just pull the endplate off and use a sawzall/grinder/hacksaw to take a few inches off the end of the pipe and then screw the endplate back on. I can get pics if you need.

12 bar, people learn on them and people dont. It adds a risk but its personal opinion. Go with the J and you can protect your tail without risking catching a corner.

Re: Hey ya'll.

Did you shorten your stock pipe? Or an aftermarket one? I have a yoshi on it right now, and still have the stock pipe stored away. Which do you suggest that I shorten? Pics would be great if you have them.

I shortened the stock pipe but the aftermarket glasspack would be easier. Just chop the b!tch in half.

28th St AKA frontage... It's the road the the city dump is on. GREAT road. I have yet to come across a cop that does any more than "Ok guys time to go". They really don't seem to care about it on that road because it is such a rarely traveled road. And also, the bike wasn't 10k, it was $8,200 which is what I paid. After taxes, gear, warranty, tire&wheel plan, exhaust, frame sliders, undertail, it ended up being ~$10000.

Because i'm an idiot? I don't know. I don't know the "proper" course of which stunt to learn first. I don't know ****. I don't even know what these stunts are called if there are even names for them. I am just trying out random things that I am seeing and I end up doing them. I don't hate you. If there's a proper way to go about things, by all means, inform me.

I think i'd rather shorten the stock one since the aftermarket one is so expensive. If you've got pics that'd be great.
