The sigs are real nice. You can swap from .40 to 9mm to .357 with a change of the magazine and barrel. The "new" (2 years old) Springfield composites are pretty nice too, plus they come with a couple extra mags.

Lots of guns have a de-c0cker. My H&K has one, as well as most models designed for law enforcement. I'm with you on the dec0cked and locked though, don't need people calling me Chedda Bob.

Thanks for the input guys. I was thinking of going with the .40 too. I like the idea of the Sig with the interchangable barrels and clips. The only reason I don't like the Glocks is exactly what Keller was saying. Double action is a must for me.

I think I am gonna take a strong look at the Sigs. I'll post up further questions. You guys rock. Thanks for the input.

ANy further Ideas post it up..

Or John Travolta in Pulp Fiction.

I aprrieciate your opinion, but a 9mm has pleanty of stopping power. I read an article that said the shock of getting shot will drop a person, even if shot with a .22. Makes sense to me.....

Personally I think the whole large round arguement is similar to ***** envy....

Not true. I have seen a video of a cop emptying 3 magizenes or 9mm into a guy who was just drunk, no drungs, no mental problems. He was getting out of the truck to get a shot gun or tommy gun out of the toolbox in the bed of his truck. I'll take the extra felt recoil anyday as long as the gun allows me to get quick target aquisition. A .22 wont drop anyone unless you penetrate their skill. The shock won't do anything, but the anrenaline that is now pumping through their bood stream means extra trouble for you.

ever been in the service?? They use 9mm as a side arm now instead of the old .45's, wanna know why........9mm had the same stopping power and the rounds were less expensive.....

Do you know what size round is fired by an M16?? 5.56mm.....do you know what round is also 5.56mm?? yes a .22, the only difference is the amount of powder in an M16 round, the bullet is the same size.......

I know the US military doesn't change anything without a lot of wasted tax payer's money going to research....but you saw a video once....

5.56 is like a laser beam, it is designed to do one thing, penetrate armor, people and anything else in its way. lets see .22 rim fire velocity=~800fps for a hot round. M16 round=~2,200+ fps. Plus the M16 round weights 3 times as much. Same diameter but considering F=M*V; it carries over 8 times the muzzle energy.

that's just funny.....it's designed to kill, not wound. It will not penetrate armor, or much other than people, and when it does, instead of leaving a whole straight through you like a 7.62 round fired by most of our enemies with an AK-47 or our own 60mm, it will take the path of least resistance, tumble, shred, and basically ruin your day. A whole though someone can be patched and fixed, a round that goes in your chest and ends up coming out of your leg will cause you to slowly bleed to death. This is why we use this round. remember the research I spoke of...

But your ideas were interesting too....

By armor I mean coventional police duty "bullet proof vests", not reinforced steel ****.
So why does a hollow point 7.62 x 39mm round will go straight through a beer keg and leave a 3-4" diameter hole on the other side? Do they make people out of titamium now or what? Or do they have special rounds that spall and smaller fragments exit at right angles of the enterance wound?

My comments were based on my knowledge from 7 years in the infantry, I am unaware of the way a round goes through a keg.....hopefully though it was empty.....

dont forget the saw that ****** is a killing machine even tho its a 5.56mm

ahh nutin like ripping some shots thru a SAW to release some anget ehh skillz

and for those that dont know what a SAW is

The Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) is an air-cooled, belt-fed, gas-operated automatic weapon that fires from the open-bolt position. It has a regulator for selecting either normal (750 rounds per minute [rpm)) or maximum (1,000 rpm) rate of fire. The maximum rate of fire is authorized only if the weapon's firing rate slows under adverse conditions. Although the M249 AR is primarily used as an automatic rifle, it is also used as a light machine gun. It can be fired from the shoulder, hip, or underarm position; or from the bipod-steadied position. When employed as a machine gun, it has a tripod with a T&E mechanism and a spare barrel; however, barrels must not be interchanged with those from other M249s unless the headspace has been set for that weapon by direct support personnel.
