SBC Yahoo DSL
I am thinking about getting SBC...any Pro's and Con's. I had Comcast, but it's not offered in my new area. I know DSL is slower, so I thought that I would get some incite from you net junkies.

DO NOT get SBC! Worst service ever! I have to deal with their BS several times a week for my clients. If anything breaks or goes wrong, you have to call and deal with their asanine voice recognition system that doesn't recognize anything but it's own annoying voice, only to eventually be connected with a minimum-wage page flipping idiot who will blame everything on you and not help you. They are horrible!

I agree with Sonicjay, look for another alternative if possible. I had their service for about a year and at least twice a week, I would not be able to connect to their server because of issues with the line or with them. I must have had their service come out at least once a month to check the line. WORST SERVICE EVER!

I agree as well with Sonic and Darren, they suck, service sucks, as well as support. However if you get paid payed by the hour from your IT clients and you have to call SBC support, you will be on the phone with these Yahooooo's for hours trying to get help, which in turn will make you stay onsite for additional hours/maybe days.....
Do not use SBC, they suck

I don't know if this is still true-I would assume that it is...but when I used to have DSL years ago you had to have a phone line hooked up with a plan. That's an extra 45 a month I think. It's a waste of money and time...try WOW or if worst comes to worse there's even Satilite but I don't know much about that either

And if you are in a new location, dont let them say they cant because your address isnt in their data base. I had a newer house and they told me it wasnt available to me like 3 times and I finally spoke up and stated that there was a truck right down the street from my house and they added me to their database.
