computer question???

i need help building a computer....ive been on computers my entire life and have never owned one at home....i need a computer

but i need help on what exactly i need...i dont want to just go buy one because i know that you can get alot better deal on pricewatch.com

all i really want to do with it is surf the net and use it for a digital camera....i need a camera too so if anyone has any info that would be great!

i need a

1. monitor
2. keyboard/mouse
3. motherboard/cpu
4. soundcard
5. box/power supply
6. 3 1/2 floppy

9. printer
10. camera

what else do you need to know ????? im clueless

Slothy built

I got a Slothy Built puter and i got more than what i need it for and its super fast with alot of mem. plus you can call the Slothy service line 24hrs. a day 7 days a week!!! lol anyway he built me an awesome puter for a great price, i'd advise you get a Slothy built puter .

thanks for all the info brian.......i appreciate it.....im still deciding whether i want to build it myself so that i can learn more about it or maybe just have you build it.....

where can i get a case monitor keyboard mouse and speakers from???? i know on price watch they have a 19" for 163 but is this a crap monitor????

Hey Raybone, depends on what monitor it is!!! Yeah there are some brands out there that can be crappy... You have to be careful with monitors because they are fragile and usually one of the first hardward to die on ya....

That is cool, yeah my monitor is still going and it is 3 yrs old. You know about building a computer, that is cool, but beaware that you need to supply your own software, no tech support and warranty. I say if you can get by with all that, I say go and build the computer, the best way you can learn.
