Dumbest..... ticket..... EVAR!
Yeah, I got the stupidest ticket of all time today. I'm pulling out of work on my lunch break, turning left onto northbound Van Dyke. I had to get on it a bit, but nothing serious, certainly not over 7K rpm. And as I pull into my lane, I see a motorcycle cop parked on the sidewalk on the northbound side. We make eye contact, and I think nothing of it. 4 seconds later, as I'm stopped at the red light at 14 mile, he pulls along side of me in the turn lane. He asks me "Pull into this lot up here for me." Instantly I'm like 
but I pull in nice and slow.
As I'm stopped and shut off, he walks up and asks for my license. I asked what was going on and he says .........
are you ready for this?
wait for it....
"Any time you are going over 35mph, you need to have your visor down."
I was fairly stunned for sure. I couldn't believe it. He then proceeds to tell me "It's a safety issue. If you take a rock in the eye, you're going down and you'll hit another car." I also found it rather ironic that the guy in polyester pants, short sleeves, no gloves and open face helmet.... is lecturing me on gear as I sit in heavy pants, boots, leather jacket, gloves and full helmet...

I thought it was anything over 25 mph. Yeah I remember that one from when I was a kid riding around up north and the cops messing with us. Never knew anyone that actually got one for that

i took a june bug in the eye up north at 45 mph talk about pain
i couldnt see straight besides swering all over the road no seeing i managed to keep it up till i got to the side of the road
sucks about that ticket though

I believe that the law is that you must have eye protection. I think it varies county by county, but every cop that I've asked has said that a windshield constitutes eye protection.
You're bike has a windshield, right?
Although its probably not worth the hassle to fight, but if you really want to...
