Maria, A long time friend of my wife's, is a paramedic who has a dalmation in need of help. The dog works with the fire department and does parades and stuff with kids, among other things. The dog's name is Dally Mae, and was in a lot of pain and having trouble walking. Her vet referred her to a specialist for a CT, which was insanely expensive. Our Jeep club was able to raise enough for the CT, and results found she has significant spinal cord compression in her lower neck, causing her to lose partial function of her rear legs. They recommmend surgery to relieve the pressure on the spine, and disc causing the compression.

Surgery is about $3000.00.

In the meantime she is on steroid antinflammatories to ease some of the symptoms.

I went to a spaghetti dinner she held as a fundraiser for the test and got to meet the dog. She's a great dog; very friendly, and really needs this surgery to keep doing her duty. I'm asking anyone to give what they can, even if it's 5 bucks to the Paypal account to help this great dog.
