It is pretty heavy 4130 that I used so I really dont think it is flexing or moving at all. The lightest tube on it is 1/8 inch in thickness. With that being in the doubler connecting the two sides. I suppose it does look to close from that perspective. Here is a top shot- The sliders are backed by a very dence rubber which I am hoping will absorb some of the impact on a hard hit.
