Re: Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread

When you jumped those wires together, the fan didnt just stay on even with the ignition off?

It wouldnt crank as in the battery was dead, or it just wouldnt turn over?

If I twisted them together or left them unhooked it didn't matter. The fan only came on when the engine started. There is 3 wires on it and I tried it everywhich way and it was the same. I started it several times last night, no problem. Today, the fuel pump primes and the motor just spins over & over. I just quickly check all the fuses and there good.

I was looking at the wiring diagram and it looks like 1 of those 3 wires is the ground for some other components. I closed the window by accident when I was swapping between pages though, and it is taking forever to download the manual again on my slow work computer. Did you try hooking up the wires back to normal and seeing if it would start? You should just need to run a switch between 2 of the wires and leave the other one alone(im sure you know that).

Yea, that is the problem. There is a brown/black wire that runs to that sensor, that also runs to the tip over sensor. So make sure that wire is hooked up and the bike should start normal.

I will hook it up like normal and run a switch from the battery directly to the fan.

Re: Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread

Just Put A Switch In The Main Hot Wire! If You Put It On The Ground Side Then Like Compton Said If That Ground Is Used By Other Components It Wont Work! If Not Take A Test Light And Check The Wires And Find Out Which One Is Ground And Which Is Hot And Which Is Control Circuit!

Re: Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread

Since I sit on my *** at work all day, I was looking at the wiring diagram, and that wire is also a ground for atmospheric pressure sensor, inlet air pressure sensor, and the exhaust butterfly actuator.
