Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread

Re: Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread
What's up guys. Got a problem and need some advice. My bike has been sitting for four months. Charged up the battery and attempted to start it but all I got was a clicking noise from the relay under the seat. I assumed the battery was bad so I went bought a new. Put it in and it turned over one time. Now all it does is give a clicking noise from the relay. I tried to push start it but the motor won't turn over. I think it's locked but I can't figure out how?
Re: Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread
does the relay go click once or click, click, click, click, click while you hold the start button?
Doubtful that the motor locked from sitting there, probably just a loose battery wire or bad starter relay
you sure the new battery is charged good?

The starter works just fine. I checked it. I took the stator cover back off and tried to rotate the engine. I can only get half a revolution of travel. I guess I should mention that I had the motor out and apart last November. I put it all back together but never started it up. It just has been sitting since then...

Me. I was waiting on a new stator cover and before it came in I left and went out of town. This weekend is my first weekend being back home. Any suggestions on what would keep the motor from turning over.

Re: Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread
Well, I found out what the problem was. I fucked up!!! After getting the bad news, I`ve just been sitting here lost. I don`t know if I want to cry, scream or punch myself in the face. To answer the last question, yes I did take the plugs out and I still only got a half a revolution. So I drop the bike off at the shop on monday and they call today to tell me the news. I knew right from the moment I answered the phone that it wasn`t going to be good news. The guy just had that tone in his voice like he was calling to tell me my bike didn`t make it. Well come to find out, I set the timing incorrectly. Deep down inside, I knew that had to be the problem, after spending two days thinking about it. Now once again it`s gorgeous outside every day and I`m bikeless. This seriously has got to be the most depressed that I`ve been in a long time. Riding and motorcycles mean everything to me. It`s not just a hobby or something that I do for fun, It`s my life. I just can`t understand how I could **** up like this. I consider myself to be a pretty damn good mechanic but boy did I **** up this time. Makes me even more pissed because I dropped damn near a grand last week on tires, a new headlight, some other small parts, a rental truck to drive to AL from SC to pick up the bike, etc. and I could of damn near bought a new stunter for a little more. I guess things would be better if I could pull the motor and tear it down again and fix it, but I`m staying in a hotel on the third floor and I don`t have anywhere to work on it. Checked ebay for a motor and their was only one and they wanted 800.00 for it. Kiss my ***, I guess I`m just going to set the bitch on fire, grab a cold one and watch it burn. Damn this sucks. Rant over, thanks for listening.
