More power to ya, literally. The low CG of a harley takes tons more power to pull up, if you could get it up in 2nd gear I'd be amazed. I've seen a drunk guy do several in first(But being drunk and riding a harley has nothing to do with each other )

Re: kinda new here

lol
ya, there's pretty much no way to bring it up in second. not to mention the bike weighs in around 500 lbs, not including myself (175). i still think a stand up is possible in first, so i'm making that my ultimate goal for now. (after i learn to ride out sit downs)

i just removed my foward controls to mid controls, so my dang feet are'nt almost as high as my head when i pop a high one.
ya, i'm just gonna take it slow and not push myself too much yet.
thanks for the replies.

I started out on a 1981 Yamaha XS-1100, and I could wheelie that in 1st, wasn't even going to try in 2nd. I know it weighed at least 600, probably more than 650 easy.

Nope, actually if I tried to clutch it, it'd slip. Powered it up in 1st. Needless to say I was slid back on the rear part of the seat and did it about 15 mph for the pullup

Re: kinda new here

hey thanks for the info on Contraband. i found their web site and was totally stoked.
maybe i'll post some pics when i can get them up a bit higher.
but that could be awile.
right now i'm tryin to dial in my speed, which i found the slower i go, the faster and higher it will come up.

also i'm thinkin about getting my buddy to help me make some frame sliders?
i think thats what you guys call those "pegs" that attach to your frame, but i could be wrong.
not sure on the design yet.
