Saudi Freakin' Arabia
Hey all,
From Ontario, Canada. Been out in Saudi Arabia for 3yrs now on work of course.
Past 3 years have been horrible, no motorcycle and all.
I've owned a '96 ZX6R and an '03 636. On the 636 was pulling standups and sitdowns on pure power/bounce. Was great fun.
Riding on the street is too dangerous here so I figured I'd learn to do some stunting in parking lots and keep it reasonably safe. Unfortunately bikes are crazy expensive in this part of the world. Any 600 that's 2000 and up is over 4G's. I seen a trashed f4i and the guy wanted 5G's for it. Thing was crashed!
So unfortunately I had to cheapen out and pick up a '99 Honda 250R. I know, but what the hell. I figured it's all about power and technique to bring the bike up, but to keep it balanced and going, it's all about technique.
I hope my theory is correct. Right now it's at a shop, changing the front end, putting a quiet pipe on it and cleaning the engine out so I can get whatever HP that lawnmower can give me, and cutting off as much weight as possible.
I've done my bit of research. Increasing idle to 3K and looking at transferring the back brake to the handlebars. Getting a cage and a sprocket, but gonna see what to go with. Still don't know. I'll keep reading up and start being active when I get the thing in my hands.
It's gonna be tough, just hope not that tough. So yeah, that's it!
