I need some advice on buying a bike
Here's the information on the bike from the craigslist page:
2004 honda cbr f4i
5,000 miles
(FRESHLY BUILT STUNT BIKE) bike was recently set up for stunt (HAS NOT BEEN BEATEN BROKEN OR SMASHED AROUND)
RUNS GREAT!!!
brand new battery
esd rear sets
sick inovations round bar scraped about 3 times
sick inovations cage
reverse clip ons, milled not cut up with a grinder!
tip over sensor elimnated ( system cut out soldered together the right way )
hard wired radiator fan(always on when the ignition is on keeps the bike cool (done the right way not a hack job!)
nissn radial hand brake to gp tech fitting
fresh set of race take offs
vortex big sprocket wheelie kit (520)
forks have new seals and heavier springs
comes with a 929 front end as well as tail light, headlight and a few other misc parts
READY FOR INSPECTION TO BE STREET LEGAL!
2200 best offer
It has salvage papers so I'd need to use those to get a salvage title.
It was totaled for strictly body damage, nothing mechanical.
Is this a good deal? I don't necessarily want a stunt bike but he has all the parts to make this street legal and it'd be a pretty fun first bike for a new rider such as myself.
Let me know your opinion.

Re: I need some advice on buying a bike
thats a lil steep for a salvage title bike see if he would take 1500 and ill buy the stunt cage and round bar and ill trade you my sprocket and chain for your sprocket and chain then you will be all stock ready to cruise lol

Re: I need some advice on buying a bike
Theres better deals out there. I would stay away from salvage titles especially on craigslist. i got my 04 636 for 2800 clean nothing wrong and all stock before i beat it to what it is now. i say no go if your not looking to stunt get something you want that you feel comfortable with.
