start with the basics
whats up everyone.
ive been stalking this site for a while now and finally after a lot of searching i finally got my first stunt bike 2003 honda f4i..
so on to the fun ****.
the person that set the bike up to stunt kinda half *** it.
put on the cage and 12 o clock bar dented the tank (shitty job)
and painted the whole bike flat black (plastics, motor, frame, rims etc)
when he dented the tank never sanded it or anything.
this leads me to the next list of ****
the motor sounds solid exept for a slight rattle under full throttle around the head area. ( maybe cams or valves, timing chain? ) cant hear it when idle any thoughts on what this could be?
if you havent noticed what im trying to get around to is i want to start fresh and get things the way i want. so my question is where do i start to make it solid. i want to break it down to the frame so i get familiar with the bike.
heres a pic.
the guy that had the bike moslty rode it in the field behind his house.
so its needs a good bath and relube everything.
so whats your input and just to let everyone know this is my first streetbike let alone something to stunt with.
i use to ride with my dad before moving to Louisiana. (harley's)
little bit of background about me:
ive had atv's and dirtbikes all my life so i can wheelie and all the basics (no not circles) my atv was stunted quit a bit and i had BP on lock.
i use to race in VA when i lived there. but moved to Louisiana to go to school. ( i work doing autocadd and drafting)
pretty much all i can think of right now, im sure ill think of more later.

Re: start with the basics
It looks fine
Change the oil and coolant of course. Check the mounting tabs on the radiator, they break often. That looks like an MXD cage, although old, its good. I cant tell what clutch lever that is, but if its not an MSR Pro Raptor or Moose EZ pull, thats the first thing to change. A stuntex oil pickup kit and an OMR subcage are good mods to get, but not required unless youre serious.
