ya im new haha, I've been riding dirt bikes off and on my whole life. Finally want to get a real bike, was thinking about a R1 but thats probably too much power for me .I was wondering what you guys suggest me getting for my first real bike... thank you

 

well i have heard that a gsxr 750 is a good start bike if your wanting alittle more power than a 6 but i got a 636 for my first bike and i still have it and lovin it by the way welcome to the forums

 

You won't want any more than a six, are you gonna start stunting from the get go?

if you are you don't want a thou, they aren't forgiving when it comes to ham firsted newbies

any bike will do but Kwak 636s and Honda F4i's are flavour of the month round here

 

ya i plan to start stunting right away, once i get semi comfortable. The problem is im a college student which means not a lot of cash haha so, ive been looking at a few cbr's around here (maine) that is mostly what is for sale are 00 cbr's a few older R1's and R6's that are in my price range. But i guess i can't be expecting much i've gut about two grand saved up, sorry if im being a pain in the *** haha but what could i expect to get for a bike for around 2k?

 

I'm in the UK so can't offer much help, but there's plenty of people here that seem to have picked up good bikes for that kinda $
