Saying Hello

Hey everybody. The image verification started working so I was finally able to join, lol.
Here's my little intro. I'm 19, I've been riding dirt bikes since I was little and I got a street bike last summer. I love it a Lot, I'm having a lot of fun though I ride alone. I started riding the gixxer very mildly, and still do, but there's only so long I can go before I wanna try doing wheelies

I can't afford, nor am I capable, of becoming a real stunter, but my goals right now are just to get very comfortable with the highway wheelies and perhaps straight endos.

I can do sit downs and stand ups, but by "do" I mean I can get em up but I can only go a few seconds. I'm taking it slow and getting more and more comfortable. I have a couple issues with it though: When doing standups I find that I am pulling on the grips to hold myself up, this is what I've been trying not to do. I also pull to the left every time and I'm working on that.

My other BIG issue is that rear brake usage isn't my natural reaction in a wheelie position as I've learned on my dirtbike.

Did you guys drill that when starting out, how did you get used to using it?

Well enough out of me for a while, cool forum! :D
