First ride.

Talked on of my friend into letting me take out his r1, i believe 99. Undertail kit, yosh slip on. Let me emphasize this, I HAVE NEVER RIDEN A STREET BIKE... EVER. He said to just take it easy around corners, and if i crack on it to hold the bars strait because i will be on the back wheel. pssht i thought. I rode dirt bikes for 10 years solid, then stunted a scooter for a while, this will be a walk in the park.

I have riden in 11 second cars, driven 12 second cars, but i have never, and i mean never felt anything like that r1. The sheer speed is ridiculous. Got onto a local interstate, slowed down and let traffic by, then rolled the throttle to the stop in 2nd, had to let out to keep the rubber side down, took it halfway through third, looked down and was doing 107... 40 to 107 in mabey 3 seconds? I was in the process of building a turboed civic, i just sold the turbo and motor. I AM GETTING A BIKE. To all the people out there thinking "is a bike really worth 5 grand" i will tell you right now, yes in every way shape and form. :YEAH

Re: First ride.

Gahhh, i'm not all that concerned about serious stuntin. I mean, i want to rock wheelies every once in a great while, but what kinda bike can i get for under 2500? I have been crusing ebay, and i see a few bikes, but i think the prices are kinda high for a bike thats 15 years old or more. I'm lookin at f2's, and yzf 1000's
