Question suggestions for first stunt bike

i have some new buddys that have been ridin for a year or 2, so i want to start getting into the streetbike scene

ive never ridin streetbikes, but have ridin a couple dirt bikes and i am looking to get a bike and hopefully start stunting soon cuz it looks fun as hell.

i was thinking about some 600cc bike like a gsxr or cbr rr

any suggestions for a first bike that is easy to learn to stunt on?

im not sure but i heard that too and im picking one up this weekend. =) i think cause parts are readily available for us... have it be anything... stunt cages, sprockets, rear hand brakes, etc. but then thats just my thought.

F4i or 636 take ur pick

IMO F4i more durable, 636 little easier/better to ride... both practically wheelie themselves! LOL

Re: suggestions for first stunt bike

Everyone seems to recommend the F4i in the US, but everyone here in the UK recommends the 929 or GSXR1000, would like to own another blade again and get rid of one of my VTR's.

VTR's are great bikes bust just not right for messing around on and my ZXR is getting a bit on the heavy side for most things.

So what would you recommend? F4i, 636 or a 929?

Re: suggestions for first stunt bike

ive had my f4i stunter for lil over 5 yrs beaten daily same motor no problems other than the common cct replaced w/ a manual tensioner and never touched the motor.

Depending what you have to spend on a bike id say go f4i, but if your short on cash w/ a few mods the f2's can be great stunters to learn on and you can get em cheap

F4i's or 636 r by far the best stunt bike to learn on. If u have the money get one or the other. Or if ur rich get Both

Re: suggestions for first stunt bike

Honda auto tensioners suck, ive had a few of them go out on me on diff bikes. get ape manaul for $50 well well worth it. pretty easy to install. did mine w/ motor in the bike on the f4i just geta wobble extension for the ratchet, save ya some holes in the walls and dents in the side of tank lol

Re: suggestions for first stunt bike

my first stunt bike is gonna be a 03 rr.

i couldnt beat the price. 2500$ with only 7,000mi and thats with the big rear sprocket.

i keep hearing people say such good things about the f4i and how easy it is to stunt but really how much harder could the rr really be?

i figure since ill be learning everything on the rr if its harder it will just push me more to ride more and in the long run actually help me become better.

Re: suggestions for first stunt bike

Looks like the F4i is in favour.
So no one stunts a 929 then?

Re: suggestions for first stunt bike

i wish i would have read this thread before i agreed to buy a 98 gsxr 750. im paying $1500 for it. it has a small hole in the header and the valves sound alittle loud but not too bad. how r these bikes for stunting???? o yeah this will be my first bike, so i thought $1500 aint bad for a running bike.

Re: suggestions for first stunt bike

all depends what you guys are calling "stunting".. alot of the "stunting" i come across are people doing power wheelies down the highway.. go buy a 88 katana if thats what u wanna do lol...

i have a 06 zx636...i def love it, crazy wheelie machine

before that i had a 99 GSXR750...before i stretched it out 13inches it made a crazy wheelie bike also..

i think it'd be pretty pointless to buy a 1000 or something as a stunt bike..they seem tooo touchy..ive had a bunch of gsxr's but i always ride my buddys 1000s and my dads hayabusa and ****..makes u not even wanna touch the thorttle trying a slow wheelie..just instant crazy power
