New to forum and bikes

Hey everybody....I'm new here and new to bikes. I've ridden quads and dirt bikes for years, but always wanted a street bike. Right now I have a 88 Kawasaki Tecate....but on Tuesday I will be getting a 94 CBR900RR. Any pointers, other than keeping the rubber side down? Thanks.

First off, Welcome to SL

And here's my advice.
A. Don't go out and try to prove anything (Don't be a squid)
B. Riding street is like playing frogger, all the cars out there are trying to hit you
C. WEAR YOUR GEAR.....at least a helmet, gloves, and some sort of jacket. Sometimes it's a pain in the *** to wear, but when you need it, you appreciate it.
D. Expect to lay your bike down, drop it, crash, or just break something. It happens to everyone. Good call buying an older bike. The 900RR is a great bike, just respect the power it has.

Well said..!! Trust us, there is no way to avoid a new scratch or two on the bike, it just happens, so be careful.. I recommend you to live on SL for a couple of days and read as much as you can regarding bikes. You can learn more here than anywhere else, In my opinion... Good luck and watch out for the A**holes that dont watch out for you...!!! BTW, welcome to SL...
