hi there everyone, dustin from outside detroit, 22 yrs old.. new to the site as of yesterday.. i currently have a....ummm 94 harley sportster.. ehh it was a gift.. but dont worry, i want something else.. i actually would like some help! i am not very familar with the world of import bikes... but i think i want a honda.. cbr 600.. or a suzuiki 600 or 750.. im looking for a smokin deal, 95 or so, and up...so any help would be appreciated.. i dont mind traveling to pick up.. anybody know of any deal for a newbie ? any info/ or even advice would be greatly appreciated! :YEAH

whats up newbie.. How much you looking to spend, and how soon you looking to pick a bike up? A guy in my club is looking to sell his too upgrade. He has a 01, GSXR 600, black and yellow. Awesome condition and he only lives 1/2 hour from you.. Let me know..

thats definately pretty close to what im looking for..almost exactly so far.. im not sure how much i want to spend.. i looked at bikes from $3000 all the way up to brand new$$... im just waiting for something to jump out at me that i cant turn down.. that gsxr sounds good, i wanted yellow and black so that helps too lol. im looking to purchase within the next few months. no hurry, theres still snow on the ground plus i gotta sell my ...other bike (harley) how many miles does it have on it? ever dropped? any work done to it??

As far as the miles go, not too sure. The guy is obsessed with keeping his bikes clean so you will be getting a clean *** bike. Never dropped, never stunted. All he really did too it was a Yosh pipe, new signals and integrator kit, windscreen and a couple other things. I will have him PM you guys with pics and more info. I know he is looking to get rid of it kind of quick. I also think he will be throwing in a helmet and jacket as well. I will keep you posted.

Show up, hang out, and get to know people. I got to meet a few DSR and redline guys because of this site when I moved up here last summer. I hooked up with them on a couple of rides and made tons of friends. Royal Oak on thurs. nights is kind of a hangout, but I personally don't like it other than I see ppl I haven't for awhile. I would rather ride than sit all night

 

Good lookin out...If the price is right, I'll definitely want to check it out. I am looking for something not stunted or abused....

that gsxr is an 02 11,000 i think has yosh slip on sprockets and chain windscreen signals etc etc i think he is asking 5000 -5500 area i think. bike is clean i will have him post up some pics!

 

Isn't that sorta high mileage for an 02? (i have no clue, im just comparing to what ive seen so far) ive found bikes with a lot less miles for about that price... yeah have him post some pics or contact me please.. thank you for ur help...much appreciated!

 

That's not high mileage at all. That means the bike hasn't been sitting which is not good for a bike. You don't want a bike that's three years old with only 1000 miles on it.
