What's up...
Hey everyone. I'm new here, but not to bikes. I've been riding since 2000. I am not a stunter, infact I suck at stunts. I'm a track guy. I race a Honda NSR and have done loads of trackdays on My F4i. Next year I'll be campaining an SV650 in CMRA with some pals. I'll be honest... despite all my riding/racing I can't wheelie for **** and want to learn better. So I'll be doing lots of reading up and the occasional posting. I live in Houston, so anyone from here let me know!
I used to be a member of www.sbfreaks.com WAY back in the day when it was basically Kenny, Corey and Frank. Used to post as RFsteve.

Thanks for the responses guys. Yeah, my login used to be RFsteve... but that was a long time ago on the original SBF board, not sure if the boards or compatible.
Right now I can do little first gear wheelies... just power it up and ride it for about2 or 3 seconds then put it back down. Kinda pathetic really for someone who's ridden as much as I have.
I don't really want to do any mile long highway mingers, just to be able to do a nice 2nd gear standup for a little while.
As you can see... I'm not big on knee dragging. I usually tuck them in when they touch down.

The photography was done by www.hart-photography.com here in TX. They do a great job and their prices are decent. I have a bunch more but don't want to waste bandwith.

Thanks, that's actually a good buddy of mine. We both have the pic framed at our houses. He's pissed that I ride a 600 and put down faster laps than him. He's done a 9 trackdays this year and I've only done 3. He's slowly but surely gaining on me. Next year though, my tracktime will be more than doubled so I hope to open that gap back up. One part that he'll never get me on is that I'm more crazy than he is. I'll pass anyone anytime, haha. Inside, outside (even on the grass one time but that was a mistake) you name it.
BTW... your pictures look great. Is that an R1 your on? Must be nice having such a badass trackbike. My F4i does double duty right now.

Man, that is one seriously badass bike! The fastest bike I've ever ridden was a 157hp naturally aspirated 954. That bike was hella fast, cant imagine throwing another 17hp to that! That thing must be a blast to ride.
Well... about 2 laps after that pic with my buddy was taken I was duking it out with a dude on a GSXR1000. He was flying past me in the straights and I was getting him on corner entries. Well, one corner I got out great and kept him off at the next corner entry but I went in a little too fast and had to trail brake some. My front started pushing bad but I kept the bike going. Two corners later (I shad finally put the GSXR behind me for good) and my buddy (race instructor) on a Mille came up behind me. So I started to push a little bit and he was "toying" with me. So on a corner exit I spun up the rear (BT014's) and almost saved it, but wound up losing the back end.
Result: Lowsided at around 110mph. Frame sliders worked fantastic till the bike hit the grass. It then flipped up in the air and landed hard on the right side. Broke my footpegs, clipon, front, tail AND side fairings. Tore my exhaust up (Yosh TRS Titanium full race system) and dented my gas tank. I had to replace everything and the bike is basically back to stock.
I have the stock pipe back on. No steering damer and no rearsets. That will all be changing soon enough though. I plan on getting Racetech internals and Ohlins rear shock. Also have a GPR damper and woodcraft rearsets in mind. I've been dealing with **** suspension on the bike for too long and the crash is all the more reason to upgrade. I'd been told a million times I needed to upgrade it all but the more I spent on the bike, the less trackdays I could do, haha. Soooo... it was a double edged sword.
Oh well, someday I plan on winning the lotto and I'll have a badass trackbike then.

thats kinda what happened to that bike thats why i turned it into a track bike.....except mine landed ont he tail section.......thing folded 90 degress .....oops....its really a powerful bike and if the tires are cold or startin to where out at all it can be an interesting ride..........i slide the front and rear end at the same time quite often....that will get your attention real quick..... ......but over all its a real fun bike......i did the 520 converstion on it too and that kinda woke it up as well.....if your lookin for nice rearsets check out promach they make some real sanitary stuff...
